Zirconium (IV) oxide nanoparticles (ZrO2-NPs) have been synthesized by a soil-gel method in our laboratory. The structure of nanoparticles was investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), FT-IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction crystallography (XRD). In this study the antimicrobial activity of this compound was determined by a general method. Our studies showed that the zirconium oxide nanoparticles is a good candidate as a high activity against for some bacteria. © 2016 The Authors. Published by European Science publishing Ltd.
