In this paper GO/PANI nanosheets were synthetized from GO extracted from expandable graphite through modified hummers’ method. Sample was analyzed in both powder and film form dispersed in epoxy media. XRD, TGA analyses proved the deposition of PANI on the surface of GO nano flakes. . Images obtained from FE-SEM and also dissolubility of GO/PANI nano flakes in non-polar solvents like as toluene and DMF can be a sign of well deposition of PANI. EIS graphs and salt spray chamber results proved, by adding GO to epoxy matrix protective and barrier properties can be achieved, whereas depositing layers of PANI can generate anticorrosive self-healing properties as well as improvement in thermal stability of GO nano flakes © 2016 The Authors.
